My name is Umraz Khan and I am a fully qualified and accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon. I work as a Consultant in the NHS and provide private consulting and operating services both in Bristol and Gloustershire. Outside of the NHS I offer the full range of aesthetic surgery and also a private service for Hand, Skin Cancer and Limb Reconstruction Surgery.

Education and Training:
I qualified from University College London in 1991. After a period of surgical research I then undertook surgical training within the UK. Thorough training in all aspects of plastic surgery was obtained over a decade spent in some of the most prestigious centers within greater London. I was later awarded the diploma in Plastic surgery in 2000. Fellowship training was then undertaken in Sydney, Australia.
I have established himself as an innovator and leader in plastic surgery and I have pride myself in excellent surgical training. As such, I have held the position of chair of education of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) since 2012.
Certification and Accreditation:
I am on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and am a member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
My NHS appointment is as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol where I specialise in reconstructive plastic surgery of the breast, limbs and skin.
I am actively involved in teaching and training and was the director on the London rotation. I have published over 30 papers in peer reviewed journals on various aspects of Plastic surgery including my own special interest areas. I am a reviewer of the prestigious journal “Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery”
I am internationally respected for my contribution to plastic surgery knowledge and I am often invited to attend courses as faculty.
Personal Profile:
I live with my beautiful wife Deborah and I have two adorable children, Emily and Joseph in the Cotswold’s. We enjoy regular skiing and activity holidays. I have a high appreciation in fine arts and I collect antique clocks. In my free time, I like to restore classic cars and participate in an annual road trips to European destinations.
